Mish Mash Of A Post

12 Aug

Not much to report from this side of the earth and I guess that is a good thing for someone with anxiety. The goal was to make it a low key weekend and I think we succeeded.

Saturday morning was spent being lazy and playing an hour of Words With Friends with my husband. We are SUCH exciting people. I am really happy that I have a husband who enjoys doing the “boring” things as much as I do. He really is the best best friend I could ask for. Then I took the kids to my mom’s house to swim and play and get out of the house. Sadly Tom couldn’t join us because his bowling team needed to make up a few games. I swear we are both in our twenties. Just because we enjoy scrabble, bowling and antiquing doesn’t make us old! Anyway, hanging out at my mom’s house was fun despite the fact that my two year old was in meltdown city almost the whole time.

We left around 2:30 and Tom got home around 4 I think. We had an evening that was just as exciting as our morning. We ate leftovers, drank wine and watched the Olympics.

Sadly today was equally exciting. We went to Goodwill and Savers and Tom had to work at 2:30. I despise that he works so much. Well, I despise everything but the paycheck I guess. On the same note, his location hit “Green” for the sixth month in a row which means he gets a bonus and the potential for a promotion. I could not be more proud of how hard he works for our family. I may even let him spend some of that bonus on himself and not put it all towards bills. Sometimes you have to splurge and get something for yourself and he definitely deserves it.

I sure hope I have a more exciting weekend next weekend. I am going on a hot date with one hot husband next Saturday 🙂

For now, I am going to try to tackle the consignment nightmare that is my basement. I will be sure to take plenty of pictures and explain that aspect of our business at a later date. If I don’t post for a while there is a very good chance that I am buried under a pile of old toys and baby clothes. Alert the authorities.

Later days blog world!
