A Couple That Thrifts Together Stays Together

9 Aug

My mom was incredibly wonderful and asked if she could watch our kids Tuesday night so we could get out of the house. I jumped at the opportunity because 1) I was feeling better and 2) We didn’t have the sitter Tuesday like we usually do so I was in desperate need of a break. Our first thought was to go to Starbucks and talk about the future and finances and yadda yadda yadda, but we were both antsy so we opted for thrifting.

Really? We got a chance to get out f the house and we spent it working? Well…yeah. Guilty as charged. We both love thrifting though and getting a chance to do it without crying kids is a break in my eyes. We hit up the Goodwill that is about ten minutes from our house and this is what we got:

We spent $28 and here is what we will sell each item for:

Polaroid Emulsion/Image Transfer kit: $25

NEW Cross Stitch Puzzle: $24

NEW HP Ink: $18

Panasonic Fax Toner: $25

Ewok Plush: $25

Moats Coffee Mug: $15

Fiddler Figurine: $12

And we will throw the Fire King mugs into a bigger lot of Fire King items eventually. If you ever see a Fire King mug for 49 cents buy it!

According to my math that is a profit of $116 before fees so we should make a conservative $85 for our 20 minutes of work plus about 20 minutes of time it will take to list the items. The best part is most of it will be sent to Amazon and listing on Amazon takes about 10 seconds per item.

Have I mentioned that I love my job? Because I LOVE my job!

Later days blog world!
