My son is somewhat famous with my Facebook friends. Periodically I post some of the cute, funny or wise things he says on Facebook and I get so many comments from people about it. People have gone so far as to private message me asking why I haven’t posted a “Nikkosism” in a while. I wonder if some people stay friends with me on there just for the stories about my kids, but that is an entirely different post.
Nikkos is one of the most wise four year olds I have ever met. I may be a bit bias because he is my son and blah blah blah, but he really is a smart boy. He has a confidence that I wish I had, a wit that could match any adult and an innocence that makes him one charming child. One of my goals in this blog is to shamelessly show off my children because, well, they are awesome. So, without further a due here is the first Nikkosism of the new blog:
Nikkos: Mommy, how does Santa get in our house if we don’t have a chimney?
Me: Ummmm… He has a key to the front door
Nikkos: Why doesn’t he just go through everyone’s doors?
Me: That’s a good question. I will have to ask him.
Nikkos: WOW! You have his PHONE number?!
Me: Yep. All mommys and daddys do.
Nikkos: Why do I have to write him letters if you have his cell phone number?
Me: Because Santa only has one phone and if everyone had to call him he would have a lot of voicemail to listen to. Letters are easier.
Nikkos: Why is life so complicated sometimes?!
This is a pretty typical conversation in our house. Nikkos certainly keeps me on my toes.
Off to figure out why the cereal bowl Ariahna just brought me is empty. I know she didn’t eat the cereal that was in it.
